Our Story
Blake Hill is an award-winning English fruit preservatory in Vermont founded by third generation preserve makers Vicky and Joe. Growing up in England, Vicky was enchanted by the gardens of her grandmother's cottage nestled in the heart of the English countryside. With bountiful fresh produce throughout the summer, and providing a pantry full of preserved fruits and vegetables throughout the rest of the year, her family was provided with the warmth and well-being of a sustainable lifestyle that continues to be a family passion throughout the generations.

In 2005, Vicky and Joe purchased the 19th century farming property of Blake Hill in the tiny village of Grafton, Vermont. Their love of foraging for wild berries and edible flowers inspired their art of jam making for family and friends. On a whim, a friend introduced one of Vicky's homemade jams to their local village store which quickly sold out and Blake Hill Preserves was born.

Blake Hill embodies the unique blend of Vicky's three generations of preserve making heritage with a diverse palate including Spanish, North African and Italian flavors characteristic of Joe's Gibraltarian heritage, and additional international flavors from their ten years working and travelling throughout Asia, South America and the Middle East.

Winning record-breaking national and international awards for their sweet, savory and spicy jams, marmalades and condiments, Blake Hill is now available in some of the finest specialty stores across the country. We are also commissioned to create new varieties for leading artisan cheesemakers, bakers, brewers, restaurateurs and more. With innovative, sophisticated, contemporary flavors, and healthier recipes, Blake Hill is one of the nation's finest preserve makers for health conscious customers who Love Good Food!
